Your statutory cancellation rights. Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 484 of 2013) you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because this course is digital content supplied immediately, that statutory right ends once you expressly consent to immediate access and acknowledge that you will lose the withdrawal right — you are asked to confirm both at checkout before the course opens. The course is built on S.I. No. 218 of 2001 and the HSA’s Code of Practice for Working in Confined Spaces. It is awareness-level training, so it is worth confirming with your employer that it meets their requirements before you buy if you are training for a specific job.
No. It gives you the knowledge you need, but entry is only allowed under your employer’s safe system of work, and anyone entering, supervising or rescuing needs practical, site-specific training as well.
There are 20 multiple-choice questions and the pass mark is 16. The answers are marked instantly, and if you do not pass you can review the modules and retake it as many times as you need at no extra charge.
As soon as you pass the assessment. It is issued to your account straight away and you can download it as a PDF.
Irish law does not set a fixed expiry date. Your certificate shows a starting date and a three-year expiry date, which is when we recommend a refresher; your employer may ask for one sooner.

Avoiding entry altogether, then building the safe system of work — access and escape, ventilation, equipment, testing and isolation.
Residues, purging and ventilation, ignition sources, gas lines and hoses, PPE, fire prevention and using a permit to work.
Rescue plans that exist before entry: raising the alarm, rescue and resuscitation equipment, first aid and working with the emergency services.
The assessment only asks about what the six modules cover — nothing you have not been taught.
Work through each module at your own pace. Your progress is saved, so you can stop and come back later.
20 multiple-choice questions on what the modules cover. The answers are marked instantly.
That is the pass mark. If you fall short, review the material and try again — retakes are free and unlimited.
As soon as you pass, your certificate is issued to your account as a PDF you can print or send to your employer.
Written plainly, with the source named so you can check it yourself.
Work in confined spaces in Ireland is governed by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Confined Spaces) Regulations 2001, S.I. No. 218 of 2001, alongside the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. The HSA’s Code of Practice explains how to comply.
This course covers the knowledge element. The Code of Practice says training should involve demonstrations and practical exercises as appropriate, so anyone who will enter, supervise entry or take part in a rescue also needs site-specific practical training from their employer.
